Thirty-two year-old Josh James has extensive experience as an entrepreneur, co- founding and managing three other successful high-tech companies prior to Omniture. These companies include MyComputer.com, a small business portal with one million customers that sold to Verisign; JP Interactive, a very profitable full-service eBusiness consulting and development firm that served Fortune 1000 and large Internet properties; and ScriptSearch, a development portal for IT professionals that sold to Internet Media Group (now Jupiter Media). Mr. James has received the Ernst and Young and numerous other Entrepreneur of the Year awards and was awarded a patent early in his career when he was 22.
Josh regularly speaks on behalf of business owners and the technology industry to various government representatives and formal committees, sponsors various arts and cultural events and organizations within the state, advises several small business entrepreneurs and has spoken on countless occasions at Salt Lake Community College, Westminster College, The University of Utah, UVSC, BYU, Utah State and various high schools on starting businesses and entrepreneurship.
Omniture leads an exciting new industry with its on-demand online marketing services platform. Customers include industry leaders such as eBay, AOL, Wal-Mart, Microsoft, Oracle, Intel, GM, JPMorgan Chase and HP as well as locally based market leaders, including Novell, MyFamily.com and iBoats. In addition to its “Who’s Who” list of customers, Omniture was honored to receive the Utah Best of State 2004 and 2005 award for Science and Technology. For its fifth consecutive year, the company is on pace to close out 2005 with more than 100 percent growth. Additionally, Omniture’s rapid growth has contributed significantly to increasing employment opportunities and Utah’s strong economy by hiring over 200 people during the last 12 months with the vast majority of those being high-tech career positions in Utah.
